[Western Kansas Football League] [About Us]

Western Kansas Football League (WKFL) is a self funded, volunteer governed, community youth sports organization founded on the premise that time invested in the youth of our community is an investment in our future. WKFL has been in existence for over 21 years, and has served literally thousands of youth football players in Western Kansas. It was founded originally to serve the youth of the City of Hays and has since expanded regionally. It now serves Hays, Oberlin, Norton, Colby, Phillipsburg, Victoria, Hoisington, Ellsworth, Pratt, Lyons, Great Bend, Lindsborg, McPherson, Ness County, Larned, Stafford County, Rush County, and covers 14 counties.

WKFL is constantly striving to improve the league and the experience that each youth participant has. They believe that every player who practices has a right to play on game day and require that everyone plays. The focus of every practice and game is to ensure our youth are learning sound fundamentals and enjoying themselves.

In short WKFL feels that football is not just a sport but a way to teach youth responsibility and confidence.
