I wanted to clarify the way the standings work due to some confusion. The standings will determine which teams play in the post season tournament as only the top eight teams from the 4th, 5th and 6th grade will play. Teams can earn or lose up to 12 points per game, any additional point differential will be ignored as far as standings are concerned.
The tournament games will be hosted in Hays this year on October 21st, 27th and 28th with the 5th and 6th grade playing all games at Lewis Field (FHSU) and the first round of the 4th grade being hosted at Felten Middle School and the balance to be played at Lewis field. There will be some night games, especially at the 6th grade level, so please be prepared. The brackets will bet set with 1 through 8 in a standard bracket format. The top finishers in our tournament will receive automatic bids to the regional tournament in Lawrence the first weekend of November if they are interested in going. At the 7th grade the top teams at the end of the regular season will get a bid to the Regional tournament in Lawrence.
